C and S Class :
10 Gbps S-class vs. C-class.
For UA to core campus applications, S-class are quite suitable.

Hi Manu,
The main difference between the two Cisco SFPs is that SFP-10G-LR supports FCoE, whereas SFP-10G-LR-S does not support FCoE.
This is why the variant 10G-LR and 10G-LR-S have a slight difference in prices.
Which means that if you have an interconnectivity between the two distant sites and you need to pass the FCoE traffic, you must consider SFP-10G-LR.
This will also be helpful for you in planning the relevant BoQ.
