What is the difference between regular OC services and OC+ services?(OC3 vs. OC3+, OC48 vs. OC48+) Thanks!

Sounds like this would be up to the service provider. Who is offering the service?

I'm not sure, because I've never seen this notation referenced, but perhaps, could it be a way to differentiate concatenated service versus channelized service?

My recollection is that some devices (some ATM devices "fer sher") require concatenated service "OC3c" versus "OC3" - the "c" designates concatenated).

Just a stab in the dark ....

Channelized service is only necessary when you are demuxing the signal to a lower level than you receive it at from the carrier network. For instance, you can receive a channelized OC3 and demux it to 3 STS1/OC1/DS3/T3, which would give you 3 separate 51.84Mb/s (or 44.73Mb/s for T3/DS3) channels, or you can provision it as an OC3c for a single 155.52Mb/s channel. It just depends on the application.
