Hello.
We recently purchased SFPs for our C9200L-48P-4X switch which is running IOS-XE 16.12.4. The SFPs are SFP-10G-SR, when inserted into the switch, we are getting the errors
"The inserted SFP module with interface name Te1/1/4 is not supported"
"gbic-invalid error detected on Te1/1/4, putting Te1/1/4 in err-disable state"
What is the cause of these? i read documentation that the SFP-10G-SR are compatible with the Cisco 9200 switches.

- Note that according to https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/?npid=1769 , you need at minimum IOS-XE 16.9.2 , if that does not help use latest advisory release and check again : https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286320055/type/282046477/release/Amsterdam-17.3.5

Cold reboot the switch.
