Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I'll throw it out there....

How is ActiveFax being sold/licenced? I read in my Unity install that active fax on a seperate server requires a FAX SERVER dongle, but do not see any part numbers to order the FAX SERVER component.

Unity indicates i'm licensed for 100 Fax users, but I don't have a ActiveFax server installed.

Fax Users on your key allows users to hear about faxes in their inbox and send faxes out to external numbers... further if they also have TTS enabled they can forward email and appropriate attachments to a fax machine as well. This will work with any fax server, 3rd party or otherwise.

If you want an ActiveFax configuration off box (ActiveFax on the same box is not being sold with 2.4.6) you need to get another dongle that just has fax "ports" on it. This allows the box to have X ports of fax (which is how the fax vendor charges us for the license).

Frankly, I'd reccomend just getting a 3rd party fax server (LightningFax is fine... this is the fax server that is the engine of "ActiveFax", RightFax and Faxination are also good lower end fax servers that work with Unity OK). The ActiveFax package doesn't buy you much more than just a regular fax server that integrates with Exchange. Unity 3.0 will not be supporting ActiveFax at all any longer, so bear that in mind when making a decision about how you want to add fax capabilities to your system.
