Which version are you on? I tried this on a couple of my test boxes and it works fine.

Also, I notice when I log into unity, the next place I go within the gui, I get another login box???
I'm in version 3.1.5, and did the following for the install
-Installed SQL2k, SQL2KSP1, SQL2KSP1Hotfix, SQL2KSP2 (not given to us on CD), SQL2KSP2Hotfix (on CD)
-Installed XML Patch
-Installed Exchange 5.5 SP4 (no Internet or SNMP Connector Installed)
-Installed Unity. Added CM IP's and MWI DN's to the Cisco TAPI settings in Ctrl Pannel
-Upgraded to TSP 6.0(2b) from CCO

Well, just tried it on my 3.1(5) box and sure enough the after message value defaults back to "say goodbye" regardless of what the template is set to - on my 4.0(1) box it works OK - I'll hunt for an existing DDTS record on this and if one isn't there I'll add one.
as for the 2nd login - I suspect you're coming from another domain than the one Unity is installed in... if that's the case, the 2nd login will pop the first time you hit a page that has the media master control on it - DCOM authentication doesn't inherit easily and it'll ask for it's own - in 4.0(1) the client guys found a tricky way around this so once you authenticate on the SA/PCA it wont have to ask you again.

Although the description doesn't sound exactly right, this bug is apparently the one you're seeing:
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCdy41298&Submit=Search
it doesn't specifically mention templates but talking with the admin guys apparently this is the one. It's been fixed in 4.0(1) and will be in 3.1(6) when it ships.

Thanks! you are on the ball man! I plan on upgrading to 4.0 for some multi-tenant like features anyways...
