One of our customer wants to do something weird with Unity and their Nortel
Meridian Mail. They have Nortel Option 11c's at remote sites and a Option
61 at HQ. They want to continue to use their meridian mail. They want a
Meridian Mail VM Message to go to the Unity Box, then get turned into an
email and sent to exchange and then to the users outlook. Sounds really
crappy and we told the customer this. He just does not want to make his
company change VM options and packages. He wants them to keep the Meridian Mail interface and then just get the benefits of having a VM message turned into a email.
Has anybody any idea about this solution ?
Thanks

I agree that this isn't a good design. For it to work the Meridian Mail would need to automatically send all messages to the users mailbox **and** AMIS network them to Unity. If it can do that, Unity can deliver the message to the mailbox. MWI is not going to turn off after the user has read the voicemail through outlook.

Thanks for reply .You mean to say if Meridian can send all messages to Unity using AMIS, it is possible. Do you have any idea regarding Meridian support to AMIS ?
