Auto Attendant answers phone calls. When press option or extension and transfers calls there is a long period of silence. The length of this silence is directly related to the length of rings (which is set to 5 as requested by customer). My question is: Should there be MOH or ring back tones for the calling party to let them know that their call is, in fact, being transferred and that the system didnt drop them?

The ringback (in release transfers) or MOH (in supervised transfers) is going to need to be generated by CallManager. If the external call is directed to an IP phone, and that IP phone supervise transfers to another phone, what does the external caller hear? It's probably the same thing.
