Is there a simple utility to test all of the buttons on an IP phone?
I've had a couple defective 7960 & 7910 phones.
It would be nice to give them a quick test before doing all of the config.

There's not really an easy test because most of these are mechanical failures, so the only way to see if a button is broken in this fashion is by physically pushing it.

I want something to help identify mechanical failures. Sometimes a phone will be in service for some time before the user assigns a speed dial to a button that's never been used, only to discover the button doesn't work.
I'm looking for something like the diags. for a PC keyboard. I want to push each button and have the phone display the name of the key it thinks I just pressed. No response for a keypress would indicate a physical problem.

I think this would be a nice feature to have. I will forward this request to the technical lead responsible for the IP Phones.
