One button login phone service configured to allow users to convenient login to UCCX from phone service. Question regards when LDAP user password is changed, can the regular LDAP sync process (daily) provide updated user password to phone service password parameter? Research suggests this might not be possible. Not sure if the LDAP sync process has access to service parameters configured on individual phones which would all be unique. But if it is possible, how would it be configured. Presently, if user password changes, the CUCM admin needs to access the phone service for each phone/user and enter the new password value. Very inconvenient ... Thanks...

No, because CUCM never stores any of the password info, that never leaves the LDAP server for the authentication. CUCM sends a simple BIND request for the authentication, and just waits for the LDAP reply to grant/deny access.

Thanks, Jaime... that makes sense. If no password is sent from LDAP during sync, then there is no way to use it to update phone service parameters. Thanks again...I will let the customer know.
