CDR Issues

A customer I have is currently expierencing a problem with date ranges for their CDR records. When you try to run any report its says the dates are invalid and the only valid date range is from 3/7/2002 to 3/14/2003. I know I have seen this issue in the past but can not remember the fix.

I've also seen the following in the event viewer

Error: kErrorCDRServerDown - Error connecting to CDR Database.

ODBC Error: Error executing "insert into CallDetailRecord (cdrRecordType,globalCallID_callManagerId,globalCallID_callId,origLegCallIdentifier

App ID: Cisco CDR Insert

Cluster ID: HQ2KTELE01-Cluster

Node ID: HQ2KTELE01

Explanation: CDR database server is not responding. CDRs cannot be written.

Recommended Action: Either bring server back online or reconfigure CDRs to be written to a different server..

There is only one server (the publisher).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, there is a tech note out there about possibly getting this error after an upgrade, since the database name changes:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a0080220666.shtml

Otherwise, I would make sure that you see the CDR database in the SQL Enterprise Manager, and check the CDR UNC and Local CDR Path in CM Enterprise Parameters, maybe stop and start the CDR Insert service, go from there..

I actually found this thread http://forums.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Dpass_through%26location%3Doutline%40%5E1%40%40.1dd5e9ca/4#selected_message

and followed the steps in there. This fixed the issues with the date range but now if I try to run a report i get an error 30061: Data is not available in database.

Any ideas?
