The "optional conversation 1", as it's called, is closer to what Octel users may be familiar with but isn't a "carbon copy" of their conversation by any stretch (lawyers make that type of thing fun). You can read about it in the administration guide for 4.0(x) here:

As a side not, in the upcoming 4.0(3) release you can select conversation styles on a per user basis in the SA and in BulkEdit instead of having to make a system wide decision as you do now - 4.0(3) will be hitting the streets in a couple weeks and I'll be posting training videos for the new features (including this one) here on www.CiscoUnityTools.com pretty soon.
