Does old model Cisco phones like 7942 supports an upgrade of NIC speed from 10/100 Meg to 1G ? Access switches got upgraded to 1G and would wish to extend the throughput to userside, phone is daisy chained with PC.

79X2 phone model are "old" and now EoS and EoL. 10/100 Mbps PC ports were the "norm" back then and ethernet ports are non-upgradable.
There is currently a good aftermarket for used Cisco IP Phones.
