I have problems in the step "Setting Active Directory Permissions for the Cisco Unity Installation, Service, and Administration Accounts.
I have created the accounts on the Active Directory computer which is the domain controller and when I try to add those accounts to the local Administration group on the Unity computer (Cisco Unity is not a domain controller) I can select the accounts created in the Active Directory machine but when I click continue the system says that the computer is not ready and
it has no connection with the domain controller.
I don't know how to continue
Should I install Active Directory in the Unity computer?

No, you don't want to install AD on the local computer. I usually shop the exact error message at http://support.microsoft.com and/or http://www.google.com. 99% of the time an solution exists in one of those places.
Hope that helps,
Keith

Thanks for your help.
The solutions posted involve doing the process from the command prompt
but it did not work in my case. The ms-dos error message is:
System error 5
Access denied
Does anybody know another workaround?

Finally found the solution.
The problem is due to DNS.
I changed the hosts file adding the requested lines, i.e. the ip address to machine name translation (10.1.1.1 machine.domain.com) .
It worked in my case.
Thanks.
