I know it doesn't fit the Cisco design model But...
Has anyone implemented a CM Cluster over a WAN link.
I have customer that wants to do it over a 100Mb WAN
link. I think it would work, but I wanted to know if
anybody has done it.

Hi Scott - yes, I've been involved in a single cluster implementation over a WAN (with up to 16Mbps bandwidth) recently. It was using CallManager 3.1(2c) and Policy based queueing on the WAN.
The configuration consists of 5 CallManagers (3 on one site and 2 on the other) supporting around 1000 nodes at one end and 2,500 on the other.
I can't see that you'd have any problems, especially with 100Mbps to play with - we haven't. I guess it does depend on how many users you are looking to support. Actually, I believe a single cluster spanning a WAN has now been recognised by Cisco as a supported configuration.

Tom.

Yeah Tom it is now supported but only based on Cisco's recommendations, like you say using policy based queueing etc. They are supposed to be posting what you are required to do to make it "supportable", but Im not sure when they are doing it.
