Hi all,
I am new to Cisco CME and I would like your advice on something. I have a few main offices interconnected with each other (lets call them head offices). Then I have a few satellite offices connected to every head office.
Every zone will have one head office and a few satellite offices (maximum 4) with 15-20 phones in total per zone. There will be five zones in total.
Question is: Where do I really need to deply the Cisco CME? Just in the head office router (serving to all the satellite office that belong to it) or should I deploy Cisco CME in every single router where I have a Lan with Ip phones to be serverd?
Any help, links, etc more than appreciated.
Kindest regards,
Fer

hi,
I would suggest the following cost effective design.
head ofcs - CCME routers
Satellite ofcs - have them Voip
conected to their respective head ofcs. For the 4 phones u can have analog phones connected to the 4-port FXS card on the Voip router.
Else u can have all of them CCME with Ip Phones in every loaction.

Thanks for the reply.
So then, could I have the head office with Cisco CME and the satellite offices with normal ip phones (7960 for instance)? Would they register normally to the head office like if they were in the head office?
Thanks,
Fer
