WS-C6509-NEB with Sup2 engine:
WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE
Policy Feature Card 2 WS-F6K-PFC2
1 Cat6k MSFC 2 daughterboard WS-F6K-MSFC2
It's runnning native IOS now: c6sup22-jk2s-mz.121-22.E2.bin
I'm trying to convert it to CatOS.There is a PCMCIA card in the slot0. I copied the cat OS to this slot
and configure the bootup to load from cat os:
boot system flash slot0:cat6000-supcvk8.7-2-2.bin
boot system sup-bootflash:c6sup22-jk2s-mz.121-22.E2.bin
Router#sh boot
BOOT variable = slot0:cat6000-supcvk8.7-2-2.bin,1;sup-bootflash:c6sup22-jk2s-mz.121-22.E2.bin,12
However when restarts the switch, it gives me this error:Autoboot executing command: "boot slot0:cat6000-supcvk8.7-2-2.bin"
loadprog: bad file magic number: 0x0
boot: cannot load "slot0:cat6000-supcvk8.7-2-2.bin
Then it loads the ios image again. I also tried different Cat OS: cat6000-supk8.8-4-1.bin. same error. I have verified the image is not corrupted for sure.
Is there any compatiblity issue or some thing has to be concerned to convert from IOS to CatOS?
