Hi
I've been trying to do this for a while now, was wondering if anybody knows about this.
Objective: Make an IVR application which will receieve multiple calls at the same time which will play a voice prompt and then transfer the call to some other extension.
Current scenario: We currently have Cisco Call Manager 3.3 installed on our machine. We went through the CTI configuration list
Step 1 Add and configure CTI route points or ports for each CTI application.
Step 2 Configure the directory number for the CTI device
Step 3 Install and configure your applications
Step 4 Activate the CTIManager service on the appropriate servers.
Step 5 Configure the appropriate CTIManager and Cisco CallManager service parameters.
Step 6 Restart the CTIManager service.
Step 7 Check the CTI In Use check box in the User Configuration window for the user Associated with the application.
Problem: We are getting all events at the route point. We are able to accept that call at the route point but we cant seem to be able to play the wave file on an incomming call.We have observed that the CTI port is not registered with the CallManager(is it necessary to do that to play a wave file?). secondly we are not able to answer the call. Thirdly the media mode available on the route point is interactive voice. We have gone through several samples but we cant seem to be able to figure this out. Any ideas what we should be doing at this point or what we are missing out on? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, the CTI ports have to register with CCM, be sure your jtapi user and the passwords match at the CCM and at the IVR.
If the IVR is not co-resident with the CCM, be sure that you've installed the jtapi plugin at the IVR server.
Regards.

Hi
We are using TAPI ver2.1 and we are not sure about the function which will register the CTI port. The IVR application is running on the CCM machine. Any ideas about this?
Thanks

Hello, one question, the IVR is the Cisco IVR or is another third-party application?

We are developing IVR by ourselves. The IVR is opening CTI port but it is not receiving any notification messages. Whenever i make the call from some softphone it disconnects immediately and not a single message is recieved by the IVR's call back function.

You should you the TSP plugin. Install it at the server, configure it with the ccm ip address and a username and a password.
At the call manager administration menu, you have to create the same username and password.
Associate the CTI ports and CTI Route Point to this user.

Hi
We are already doing this but for some reason this is not working for us. The port opens but we are not receiving any events and the CCM shows the ports status as registered.

Hi, I had the same problem. It was because the plugins' versions and CallManager version were different.
I was using the plugins from CallManager 3.3 and using CallManager 4.2
Now, I can receive the cti port events.
But, when I answer the call from the cti port, the call drops.
I use the standard codec G711.
What do you think it is? a codec problem?
thank you!
