Digit Map in MGCP

What is the difference between [0-9#*T] and [0-9#*]T from the perspective of timer ? I thought the former one can capture a single digit only and will be fired as a complete match since T is part of the range. However in relaity it can capture a complete 1+10 string. Want to know the mechanics behind it.

Hi,

Regardless of where the T is placed a 1+10 strings would still be matched. look at the example below.

GW-3640-3#sh dialplan number 923455666774325646466

Macro Exp.: 923455666774325646466

VoiceOverIpPeer232323

information type = voice,

tag = 232323, destination-pattern = `[0-9]',

The T is this case would only specify how we know the end of dialed digit and also allow us to collect more digits if neseesary. Without a T the router would use the default interdigit timeout as the end-of-dialed digit strings and process the call.

The [0-9#*T] and [0-9#*]T meas exactly the same thing.

Regards

Tola.
