Is there a limititation on the distance when connecting a router VWIC-E1-MFT port to the PBX E1 port on copper cable ( 50 pair Jelly filled copper cable ) for creating an E1 PRI trunk between the two devices. I currently need to create an E1 PRI trunk for integrating the existing PBX users with IP Phones users. Distance approx 600 mtrs between router and PBX.
Have anyone done a similar setup ???

Cisco E1/T1 ISDN PRI Network Module
Short haul can be 0 to 655 feet (0 to 199.64 meters) while long haul can be >655
feet (199.64 meters). So, if the E1 could support longer distances depending on the cable.
It can be longer than the 655 feet but the maximum length would depend on the cable
impedance (which varies by manufacturer).
In T1, it is recommended to limit upto maximum of 660 feet for T1.
In any cases, patch panels can present signal degradation. Though this is usually ignored
in some specification because they are usually small, in case of several patch panel
connection, the degradation may increase and could pose issues. It is better to limit the cable length to below the maximum and always do the line test
and minimize the cable patches.

Hi Thomas,
Can u suggest me some ISDN PRI line drivers to increase the distance to approx 600 meters on back to back E1 ports.
