Endpoint redundancy with Gatekeeper???

Hi,

I have multiple gateways in my hub location that terminate VoIP call legs and are sent to the PSTN.

I gave the following gatekeeper prefix configured:

zone prefix webster-pri * gw-priority 10 mc0300iptgw0001

zone prefix webster-pri * gw-priority 9 mc0105iptgw0001

If I busy out the T1 controller on the primary gateway, I get a fast busy. I would expect the calls to "fail over" to the secondary gateway.

What do I have to do to accomplish this?

How can I have the gateway "tell" the gatekeeper that all outgoing channels are used? Seems as if the gatekeeper "blindly" directs calls to a gateway, even if the circuits are down.

Thanks in advance!

Is RAI configured on the gateways. It can monitor DSO & DSP resources and report it to GK whenever the configured resources goes below the certain level and GK can use this decision while routing.
