I have a Digital Media Manager 5.2.2.13.
Uploading assets from certain browsers, Chrome, Safari and IE will fill in the asset name with C%3A%5Cfakepath%5CFileName.jpg
Seems to be related to html5 support in these browsers?
Uploading with Firefox seems to work fine, but I can not find a way to change the Asset Name on any of the current Assets to get rid of the fakepath string.
Is there a way to edit the asset name to get rid of the path or a work around for these browsers so the fake path isnt added?
thanks
Mike

Sometimes when your Asset tile has spaces in the name you'll get the "fake path".
If I edit the media asset in IE then save it, 90% of the time that gets rid of the fake path for me.

That didnt work for me in IE. Editting the Asset Title does not change the Asset Name(which is not editable as far as I can see) which has the fake path string.
The people that manage the assets are Mac types so IE wouldnt be a good solution anyway.
It looks like we will be moving to a newer version of the DMM in a few months which may not have this problem

Hi;
This is a iE8 Security Option:
This works for me If you go to Internet Explorer; Tools; Internet Option; Security; Custom; find the "Include local directory path when uploading files to a server" (it is quite a ways down) and click on "Enable" this works.
Regards.
