Is it possible to take control of a Cisco 7940 IP phone that has a public IP address without firewall protection? I suppose DoS is possible?

Why would you design your network like this ?
Try ping flooding a phone from 2 linux boxes running 64k packets and make a call.
Try and hack it see what you can do thats the best way...
