How can I monitor Single Inbox / Unified Messaging?

Hello,

Single Inbox AKA Unified Messaging (receiving e-mails within an e-mail client with voicemails audio files attached) can be seen as a critical function provided by the Cisco telephony suite. I have been looking in to trying to monitor this functionality to know when it is having issues before being reached out to by employees within the organization. Has anyone found a good way to monitor this? If so please share!

P.S. I did query TAC for the same but they did not seem to be aware of a solution for this.
