I'm new to this system. We are a University which used the BAT tool to download all our students names and living loctions and phone numbers into the Call Managers. We retrieved all the data from our administrative mainframe. This new semester we had over 100 withdrawals, almost as many new/returning/transfers and at least as many moves from one room to another! We did this all manually, probably not a smart thing. My Residence Life Assistand is asking if we can run a report from the Call Manager with a list of students names, telephone numbers, and residence. I said I don't think so. Is there a way of getting this type of information into an excel spreadsheet? I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
Sincerely,

Hi!
If the information is in the CCM db, extracting it won't be very hard. You can do it via the SQL Server Query Manager.
What exactly do you want to extract and where is it located in terms of the CM (e.g. Lines, Devices, Location etc.)

I don't even know what SQL Server Query Manager is. Does that come with Call Manager? Are you sure I have that capability?
In any event, the location is in the description field and the extension and user name is under the Base phone information. Each phone usually has two students extensions because students share one phone. So I need to get all line extensions and names from every phone.
Since I'm new, this sounds so complicated. If you can make it easy, I'll be very grateful!!
Sincerely,
Penny

Penny, I would like to know if you ever got a response on how to do this. If so, can you email me the details? Thanks.
