I need to ring overhead speakers via a paging system when an extension is dialed after hours. The paging system use is only for call notifcation and the call can't be directed at it. My best guess is to use a shared line between an ATA and the phone and plug the ATA into the paging system port. Has anyone done something like this before?

We use a similar configuration. The ata rings the night bell and we have all the phones in the office in a call pickup group that allows the extension assigned to the ata to be picked up via group pickup.

We're there any gotchas? I'm guessing this depends on the paging system and its requirements.

nothing huge. our env looks like this:
inbound call after hours goes to autoattendant. If the caller zero's out for an operator ccm trasfers the call to the ata. The ata then trips a simple switch we have inline. The switch is attached to a Valcomm v9972a digital tone generator. The tone generator is attached to the audio amp for the paging system.
All our users are in the call pickup group and simply pick up a line and get dialtone, then hit the Pickup softkey.
We had to do some funky stuff within unity to make sure the zero out from the autoattendant didn't go to voicemail. I can repost about that if you need it.
