Dear all,
I would like to know if is there any way to get an IP Phone behave in on-hook like it does in "off-hook" while dialing?
Let me explain my problem : my management wish the ip phone to dial a number in "on-hook" situation without hitting the dial button.
Many thanks for any reply

Oh, my CUCM is v6.1.2 and we have 7975 IP Phones.
Thanks

no, on-hook dialing requires you to press dial, otherwise how would the phone know you have dialed the whole number???
in off-hook you send one digit at a time for digit analysis and if you have an exact match CUCM knows you have finished dialing, but CUCM is already doing the digit analysis

Well, an interesting behavior could be that the phone would automatically put the speaker on once a digit is pressed. This is not someting impossible, other vendors do that.
A new firmware could add such a feature, perhaps.
