Simultaneous ring with Hunt Pilot/Line Group

Hello, we have a Callmanager 4.1(3)sr1 and have about 40 ip phones located in different geographic locations. With the Hunt Pilot and Line Group configurations, we have enabled broadcast algorithm. I have 2 questions as this a problem at the moment:

1. 15 ip phones in one location on the same line group do not ring simultaneously. They ring starting from 1, 2,3, and so on until the number 15. All phones do not really ring simultaneously, but they ring in a row. Is this a bug or is this working as designed?

2. What is the max members that can be on a single line group?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thankyou,

Veera

Hi Veera,

1. Devices should ring simultaneously, are they located in the same location as CCM?

If you create a dummy line group with less phones, same issue?

You may post CCM trace to see what is going on.

2. There is no limit as to what amount of max members you can use.

Gonz

Hi Gonz, Thanks for your input.

I have now tried to test with just 4 ip phones. And they still dont ring in a real broadcast mode. I have collected a detailed ccm trace.

4 test phones are registered to the same ccm server locally.

DNs: 8199, 8198, 8795 and 8178

Hunt pilot: 2305

CCM Pub: 10.250.254.100

CCM Sub: 10.250.253.102

One more thing that may of interest is that, we have a publisher server across the WAN with IPSec VPN connectivity.

Thankyou,

Veera

Hi Gonz, I have figured this problem out.

The Hunt List had the Callmanager group which had the Publisher across the WAN link. When I changed the Callmanager group for this huntlist to the local server, the phones ring simultaneously.

Looks like there is some issues with the WAN link.

Thanks a lot anyway,

Veera
