SNS 5.3 and WVC1 or VC-1 Adv videos not working?

Hi

Not sure if this is just a 5.3 issue or if it also applies to 5.2.x SNS

SNS does not seem to be able to play a .WMV file that is encoded with WVC1 codec (VC-1 Adv).

It works fine with VC-1 Simple/Main) fine.

This is without MXE - so just plain SNS.

Easy to re-create -

WIN7 - upload the Sample Video.

Wildlife.wmv 

Is this expected or know limitation?

Hello Marc,

  Just did a lab recreate on a SNS 5.3 (MXE Integration dis-abled), Was able to upload the file to the SNS and it did play (took around 5 seconds to buffer or start playing). The SNS uses the Windows Media Player Browser plugin to play the Video as mentioned in

Attached is the screenshot.

Plays fine in Internet Explorer 8.x.

1) Have you tried IE or you just used Firefox ?

2) Have you verified that everyone else is seeing the same issue ? Or Just one Client PC.
