A client has a Unity version 2.46 and it is a voicemail only. The space on the server is running out, due to when the user deletes the message it keeps it in the deleted items. How can these messages be deleted outomatically?
Regards

There a setting on the Class Of Service for users that indicates if messages deleted over the phone should be moved to the deleted items folder or deleted entirely from the system. The default is to move things to the deleted items folder.
In Unity 3.x you have the option of emptying th edeleted items from over the phone interface which can also be used in this situation, but you don't have the option for that in 2.4.6.
Another way some folks deal with this is to use Microsoft's mailbox manager (an add on with SP3 in 5.5, comes standard with Ex2K) to run through and clean out items in the deleted items folder that are older than X days. This way they have the protection of a "oops I didn't mean to delete that" recovery option in an emergency but the deleted items folders don't over run the system.
