TAPS with Shared Lines

I have several phones to install using taps/bat and several have shared line appearances. Older versions of TAPS has issues with shared lines. Is this still a problem? Also can you use TAPS with a private extension number on the line, that is not line 1, or are you limited to the primary line number.

Just looking to see how others have worked around these limitations.

If you are planning to use TAPS to configure shared-line phones, you must create unique external mask for each shared-line phone. Enter a unique combination of numbers and asterisks (*) for the external mask.
