Dear All,
I am in process of a IP Readiness Assessment and I am wondering if
does anyone knows what info I need to gather from a curent TDM Telephone system System to build a VoIP infrastructure.
Your help is much appreciated.

The important points to gather are What is the existing PRI/T1/E1/Analog trunk capacity and how many trunks are in use?,What is the central office switch type?.what is the trunks hunt sequence?. Is this PBX connected to other PBX at other sites?.What link type interconnects the PBX?.Are the available ports on the PBX for connecting voice gateways?.What signalling type is available on the ports to connect to the vocie gateways?.What percentage of total calls are the fax calls?.
To support a voice infrastructre You must have a voice supported router with FXO,FXS,WAN ports.Needs to have a Wan connection with proper bandwidth.
