Unity reporting "email you sent" after exchange 5.5/2000 migration

We recently went from Exchange 5.5 to 2000 and have been slowly migrating users from the 5.5 server to the 2000 server. After re-running the Setup program a couple times and getting mailboxes and permissions squared away, things seem to be working fairly well. Unity now points only to the 2000 server and works with users homed on it or the 5.5 server. The one oddity still remaining is that some users have seemingly phantom messages saved, at least according to Unity. Unity reports "The email you sent could not be delivered to one or more recipients" as well as "Saved message 3, with attachment". What are these?? Thanks for any help.

hard to say what they are but off hand they sound like read/delivery receipts and/or NDRs. If you pop open those mailboxes reporting that with Outlook, what shows up in there?

By default Unity will present all receipts in the stack - you can eliminate read and delivery receipts with a change in the Advanced Settings Tool but NDRs will always show up regardless.
