Direct Hire - Location Columbia, MD 21046Verizon Business - Federal Network Systems is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer with CISCO, Security & MARS (Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis, and Response System (MARS) provides security monitoring for network devices and host applications supporting both Cisco and other vendors. Security monitoring with MARS greatly reduces false positives by providing an end-to-end topological view of the network, which helps improve threat identification, mitigation responses, and compliance)
The Network Engineers should have extensive experience designing and securing Cisco routed networks.
- The Network Engineer must have experience implementing Cisco's Monitoring, Analysis, and Response Systems (MARS).
- The Network Engineers will support government workers in the implementation, optimization, and documentation of of how MARS is implemented on the network.
- Specific duties will include network evaluation and design (with an emphasis on providing greater security and centralized administration), lab proof of concept (where necessary), identifying specific products and configurations for procurement, deploying new equipment, and documenting administration processes and procedures to allow administrators to take responsibility for day-to-day administrative activities.
Required Skills:
- BS- Related Discipline or equivalent experience.
- TS/SCI FULLSCOPE POLYGRAPH.
- Cisco's Monitoring, Analysis, and Response Systems (MARS).
- Experience with Network Design.
- Experience Documenting Configurations / Procedures.
**IMPORTANT** The selected candidate must have completed a life style polygraph at some. point in the past, and have had a polygraph (any type) within the past 5 years.
