Hi guys,

Currently I have a costumer with requeriments of voice and video applications for monitoring their business at the branch offices. His requeriment is about to get already connected his branch offices into a scheme security sistem trought 4 analogic cameras for monitoring key places within the building

He wants to transport and centralize these video into the Central site. The voice applications for each branch offices are analogic and must work with into same infrastructure of video and data.

My questions are the follow:

1. How can I get this solution?

2. What equipments do I need to implement the anolog video into IP?

3. Do you have any experience about how this implementation works?

This sounds like a good application for Cisco IPTV. IPTV can encode analog voice/video into a digital format then in real time using IP multicast bring those feeds back to a headend for either view or storage.

Reference: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/mxsv/iptv3400/index.shtml

You can also take a look at PixStream products. The Cisco acquisition of PixStream closed today (Dec. 20) so you'll be seeing a lot about PixStream from now on. Basically its a combination of products that will allow for the digital encoding of analog video from any source, and output the bitstream onto an IP or ATM network.

Feel free to contact me for further details. ddietz@pixstream.com www.pixstream.com
