Voice Phone and PC behind it

Hi PC is behind the voice phone. then the phone is connected to wall jack. The phone is in vlan10 and get ip address from vlan10. My question is how can we configure PC ip address? Using another vlan or the same vlan10? Thank you

The recommended method is having the IP phone and PC in different vlans. To do that your switch needs support voice vlans; the PC would be in access vlan and the IP phone in voice vlan.

Thanks for your reply. if the phone cannot get ip address due to some reason, do you think the PC would be affected when PC is in another vlan?

No, they are totally separated. The only reason that the PC would lose network connectivity is if the IP phone is out of order (eg powered-off, rebooting).
