I keep getting the following error in the system log on my CallManagers periodically. Version 3.3.3 es 62. And there are related SQL errors in the app log. It's OK for a while, several days to a week, but then it "acts up" for a while. It doesn't seem to be impacting anything. The SQL subscriptions are in tact. But, we keep getting these "database layer monitor" alarms in our Monitoring Console when this happens. I checked EventID.net but it didn't have anything on SQL. It appears to be some kind of authentication issue. Any idea on it? Is there a tool to check the authentication on CM? Thanks.

IT is becase you SQLSvc user has a wrong pass you have probably changed the password of SQLSvc to fix this go to Administration Tools-->Component Services-->Component Services-->Computers-->My Computer-->COM+ Applications-->right click on DBL-->click properties-->Identify--> and type the password if you dont know the pass just change it from the Computer Management you also need to change it in the SQL Enterprise find that user there and change it!!!

Thanks for the response. The service, SQLsvc, is set to Pasword Never Expires. I see where I can change it in the Computer Management, but where is the service in SQL Enterprise? Is it the SQL Server Agent?
Also, the dcomcnfg.exe, what exactly does it tell me? And should I say Yes to note it in the registry when it asks? thanks again.

If you are running pub and sub attached to the pub make sure you have the same pass for all the services otherwise you will run in some serious problems bw the pub and sub. SQL enterpries is in Start-->Programs-->Micrsoft SQL ... -->SQL Enterprise
if you were asking for this!Yes the SQLsvc is the Core User for SQL maintain so it's not realy the SQL Server Agent !

You may also try to run this command from the cmd dcomcnfg.exe and see i all the users all to place!
