can different supervisor modules coexist in same chassis

Customer has 2x VS-S2T-10G in chassis and one has failed. Is it possible to temporarily use another type of Supervisor to provide resilience?

As long as the the supervisor card are of the same model and has the same IOS.  For example both can be VS-SUP720 or VS-SUP2T.  It cannot be of different model, like one VS-SUP2T and another is VS-SUP720.
