Hi,
I have an issue with setting up access connection between nexus5548 and c3560switch.
- both switches are connected with ethernet cable
- used gig0/3 port on 3560 with plugged in electrical SFP
- used TenGig port Eth1/15 on n5k with plugged inn electrical SFP and speed manually set to 1000Mb
- when this done c3560 shows port status "connected" while status on n5k port is "notconnected" ???
- tried connecting with cross cable (since manually changed speed might disable auto-mdix feature) - without success
Anyone experience same behavior? What am I doing wrong :) Note - I'm new for nexus...
N5k config:
N5k# sh run int eth1/15
!Command: show running-config interface Ethernet1/15
!Time: Tue Mar 10 13:28:38 2009
version 5.2(1)N1(4)
interface Ethernet1/15
switchport access vlan 8
speed 1000
duplex full
N5k# sh int status | incl Eth1/15
Eth1/15 -- notconnec 8 full 1000 SFP-1000BAS
c3560 config:
c3560#sh run int gi0/3
Building configuration...
Current configuration : 123 bytes

interface GigabitEthernet0/3
description **[N5k]**

end
c3560#sh int status | in Gi0/3
Gi0/3 **[N5k]** connected 8 a-full a-1000 10/100/1000BaseTX SFP
Appreciate all your comment and suggestions.
Thanks

Worked out after using cisco manufactured SFPs.
