How to configure logging synchronous on Nexus switch

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the command on a nexus 3K (presumably the same on 5K/6K/7K/9K NXOS) that stops console messages interfering with the CLI when you have terminal monitor configured in your ssh session?

In other words, the equivalent of the logging synchronous command on an IOS router/switch?

TIA

PS I beg forgiveness for the double post, but after 8 days no-one in the LAN, Switching and Routing community has come up with an answer. I guess I should have asked this in the Data Center community to begin with, being Nexus related and all.

Hi Chris,

This query was raised to the BU in an old email thread a few years ago. As per their response as that time

“Logging synchronous" command is not there in NXOS. When the right set of debug elements are turned on then the debug (logfile) is expected similar functionality without the unsolicited messages embedded chronologically.  However, if you want to repaint a line, you can just do control-L.

I do not see any new developement on this since then.

You may check with TAC for any recent developments or anything on the roadmap.

Manish
