Hi Guys,
Does anyone know the safest way to add more ports to M5 240 servers running UCSM. I have a box that uses Mlon 25/40 connections. I want an additional ethernet port to span traffic in promiscuous mode. I believe the lom ports are disabled and would break UCSM trying to enable them. Would it work if i added in another PCI-E network card?

You can add another (NIC only) card. The UCSM should ignore the add in NICs , but your OS should still see them.
This is a common config we see for customers needing to send span traffic down to guestVMs running on UCSM integrated rack servers.
