Are you talking about new protocols?

Are you talking about new platforms?

Don't just sell technology/box for the sake of technology/box. Understand customer's need and find the solution.

You need to be clear w.r.t your requirement, As market requirement is mainly on SDN, Virtualisation or IOT some to extent..

Most of the industry best vendors as per Gartner is having solution on above mention technology.

So, Come up with clear mandate on your requirement so that folks can help you out the most.
