Hi, I have found that we can have max 24 FEX by Nexus 5500 with L2 and 8 with L3.

But is it true for Nexus 5624Q ??

Thanks,

Looks like the Layer 2 is the same. Don't see anything regarding the Layer 3

Support for up to 48 fabric extenders (Layer 2) with Cisco Nexus 5696Q, and 24 fabric extenders (Layer 2) with Cisco Nexus 5648Q and 5624Q

Thank you Rick1776, so according to the last link, the maximum number of FEX for a L3 deployment is 24 ?

No, Layer 3 FEX is not supported only under layer 2.

If you look under the heading
Table 2 Verified Scalability for a Layer 2 Switching and Layer 3 Routing Deployment
There is a bullet point that states "FEXs are verified in the Layer 2 topology"

Table 3 doesn't list FEX support for Layer 3 Interfaces.

I know that FEX can't do L3. But for what I know, the number of FEX supported by Nexus 5500 is 24 if the 5500 does only L2 and 8 if it does L3.

So according to this table :

Table 2 Verified Scalability for a Layer 2 Switching and Layer 3 Routing Deployment"

the number of FEX supported for a 5600 is 24 even if the 5600 does L3. Do you agree?

Yes I agree with that statement.
