I have been searching for the following:
How to configure SNMP v3 on the Nexus 5K to restrict SNMP users to Read Only or Read Write and apply an access-list of authorized hosts. On my 3750's running IOS, it is easy.
Sample config:
snmp-server group solar v3 priv read NetMonRO access SNMP-Access
In the line above, I set both privilege (read only) and access list. I am new to the Nexus platform and have been unable to find out how to accomplish the same thing on my 5K.
Thanks for any assistance.
Regards,
Gary

Hello Gary,
If your Nexus 5k is not running version 7.2 it does not support ACL for version 3.
This is documented under bug:
CSCup94149 Nexus 5000/6000 SNMPv3 per user ACL support
Upgrade to 7.2 release and you will see that now the snmp user has the option for acl included.
Hope it helps!
