VXLAN support on Nexus 5500 (5548UP)

Is VXLAN supported on the Nexus 5500 series? I am seeing conflicting information on the web, but cannot see any details in any of the configuration guides, or VXLAN listed on the data sheet for that series. There is a mention of VXLAN in the latest release notes as bug in a certain instance:

Only the Nexus 5600 Family of Switches supports VXLAN.
