ok, here is the problem we have 2 sites using these switches. one works fine and the other will not work at all on the cisco switch.
Site 1
4 pc(compaq GX100) connecting to the switch windows 2000 and POS software
Site 2
4 pc (compaq GX100) connecting to the switch windows 2000 and POS software
Site 1 all pc connect no problem.
Site 2 some pc will show connection as the cable is plugged in and then the connection led will go out and there is no connection on the cisco switch 1548. A loan unit was install (different brand) all pc connected no problem. The switch from site 1 (1542 as well) was then taken to site 2 still no connections. We also tried installing a ups on the switch . no change. Both switches work perfectly at site 1.The power was checked there was no faults. Anyone have any further suggestions. please
