2600XM ROUTER WITH 3DES ENCRYPTION

I have a 256k link with Cisco 2600XM routers at either end running 3des encryption with 32mb flash and 128mb dram. I want to upgrade the link to 512k or 1mb but am concerned that the encryption will not be able to handle this increase in link speed. I would be grateful for any help.

I have usually seen problems with 1700 series router running 3DES encryption in software. What does the current processor utilization look like ? You might want to consider upgrading the router with a h/w encryption module (AIM-VPN)...
