2948 Switch Warning Message

I receive the following error message via standard out on a 2948 switch.

2012 Oct 07 00:53:32 %SYS-4-P2_WARN: 1/Host 00:0e:7f:b3:e5:4e is flapping between port 2/6 and port 2/9

The error makes sense since we had a server acting funnt in 2.6 and moved the drives to another machine that is plugged into 2/9. How do I clear the port info on the switch so it rediscovers or reset its info for those ports?

Once you have moved the address you should not continue to see this message . You can clear cam dyn and this will clear the mac address table out . Clear logging buffer also to clear the logs . If the message comes back you will have to look at other things . We have seen this problem also when the switch negins to flake out also .
