We just recently installed a Cisco 24GBE PoE 370W switch for one of our clients. Model number is WS-C2960S-24PS-L. One PoE device (a Miraki MR66 WAP) that is connected to the switch is beyond the 328ft Cat5 cable length limitation (we estimate the cable run to be approximately 425ft). Is there any special configuration that can be done on the switch to power the device up? Or what Cisco product would I need to put inline (a repeater?) to get the device powered up and online? Thanks in advance for your help.

U could use a power inline adapter for an access point for example in between Your line. Maybe close to your device. Check the datasheets for that. But u can't manage the PoE any longer. In your case I think the length is the problem, do u see any comment by "show power inline" or in the log of the switch? Maybe u find some information in the web about length and PoE and don't have in my mind in the moment.

Just one AP? Try an PWR-INJ4.
To determine approximately how long is the ethernet, try this on the 2960S:
1. Command: test cable tdr interface
2. Wait for approximately 5 to 7 seconds;
3. Command: sh cable tdr interface
4. Post the output to #3.
