3000 series router serial cabling

Hi,

need a little info on serial cables for 3000 series routers. does anyone know whether the pin-outs on cables for 4000 series routers (p/n cab-npx21c and x21d) would be same as the pin-outs for the following cables (p/n: cab 3cx21 and x21c)

they are both 50pin serial to x21 connectors.

i know this is unlikely but cisco wouldn't have changed the pin-outs at the 50 pin end between different models of router? just wondering as the cables are different part numbers.
