Hi,

I have an old Cat3500-XL with release 12.0(5.1). It does not seem to support routing nor VRRP. Could anyone confirm ?

Is there a newer version that would help and can I import a firmware from a 3550 on it :)

Yes,

you can download an newer version, i can send you a image name but you have to precise flash, Dram memory and protocol to implement.

The cat3500 has 8MB RAM and 32KB flash.

Must have : VRRP and layer 3 ports (does

and nice to have : RIPv2 and OSPF.

Hello,

The old 3500-XL is L2 only and unable to support the functions you mentioned. The latest IOS for this is the 12.0.5WC11 if i remember correctly...
